HELLO!
You can call me Wray

ABOUT
Wray is a human who loves her dogs, takes her tea green, and is on a mission to inspire other humans with curiosity about the world around — and within — them through visual storytelling mediums.
She worked as a microbiology researcher for six years before transitioning into visual and narrative-based education as a scientific illustrator and instructional designer.
Wray holds a BS in Biology from Virginia Tech and a Certificate in Biomedical Visualization and Communication from the University of British Columbia. She is currently pursuing an MSEd in Educational Technology and Instructional Design to create more effective, evidence-based learning experiences.
Her creative process applies scientific rigor with empathy, using design-based research and human-centered design principles to create accessible educational resources for a range of audiences. Her favorite projects involve character-driven narratives with "lil' guys" that make science education less intimidating and more "friend-shaped."
In her free time, she is a Swiss-army serial creative with many hobbies and projects — crocheting, chain mailing, world-building for ttRPGs, sci-comm animation, and comic illustration to name a few.
Rest assured, she is a creative at heart and will always be creating something.
And did I mention she loves her dogs?
